chapters 8&9

I think in my personal opinion that these two chapters were the hardest chapter s to read, knowing that at any minute. I still can’t believe that he still went on even after his dad was dying in agony every moment. What surprised me was that he said “it pained me that I could not weep” I was so surprised to hear read this. I could imagine that after all the things he had to live trough after all the agony pain he no longer felt anything. He couldn’t be hurt more than he already was. After he was freed all he could think of the food, How he said that they threw themselves into the food not caring. I could imagine the hunger they had. I think it’s ironic how he didn’t get food poisoning during but after. I actually didn’t like how the book ended. I want to know what happened, did he ever know what happened to his mom and sister? I want to know what happened to all these people.
